Small School, Big Results
Christ-Centered, Vision-Led
The Intentional Great MicroSchool (IGMS) is a Christ-centered, Christian-based private micro school located in Conyers, GA. We provide students with small-group education in a dynamic learning environment. Our goal is to cultivate independent, curious, and capable learners who think critically, approach challenges with creativity, and embrace a love of learning. Grounded in faith, we encourage students to develop strong character and embody Christ’s commandment to love others. Families will find a purposeful and enriching approach to education that nurtures both academic excellence and personal growth.
Beyond academics, IGMS fosters a strong sense of community and collaboration. Students participate in group challenges, field trips, interactive projects, and peer-led discussions that enhance learning and encourage social development.
What Is A Microschool?
A microschool is a small, student-centered learning environment that offers a personalized, flexible, and community-driven approach to education. Unlike traditional schools, microschools focus on individualized instruction, multi-age classrooms, and hands-on learning experiences that foster critical thinking and real-world problem-solving.
At IGMS, we are committed to keeping our ratios small, ensuring that each student receives intensive and personalized support. Our program and curriculum promote critical thinking, collaboration, and independence, while also ensuring that our students are equipped with a strong foundation rooted in the teachings of Christ.

A Day in the Life at IGMS
morning meeting & prayer

Each day begins with Morning Prayer & Community Meeting, fostering faith, connection, and focus. Through prayer, reflection, and discussion, students center themselves spiritually, set learning goals, and engage with peers. This time builds confidence, strengthens relationships, and creates a supportive start to the day
learning stations

Each day, our students engage in hands-on learning stations designed to build their skill. Early in the year, teachers guide each station, but as students gain confidence, they work independently. Students also receive individualized support through 1-on-1 time with their teacher, allowing for personalized guidance and skill development.
outdoor play
We extend learning beyond the classroom with educational field trips to museums, science centers, historical landmarks, and outdoor learning environments. These experiences enrich academic instruction by making learning interactive and immersive.
practical life skills

We equip students with practical life skills that foster independence, confidence, and responsibility. Students learn self-care, organization, problem-solving, and everyday tasks, which encourage critical thinking, fine motor development, and social interaction, helping students gain practical knowledge that extends beyond the classroom.
group learning
Our teachers make learning interactive, engaging, and personalized by reinforcing key concepts and introducing new ideas. Group sessions focus on numeracy, phonics, and social-emotional development, using storytelling, discussion, and hands-on activities to enhance comprehension and fluency. With the Smartboard adding an interactive element, students stay actively involved, making learning both effective and exciting.
science & art

At IGMS, we cultivate creativity, curiosity, and discovery through hands-on art and science experiences. Each day, students engage in interactive projects and experiments that encourage them to explore, create, and think critically. Through scientific exploration, they develop problem-solving skills, a love for learning, and a deeper appreciation for the world around them.
electives & enrichment

IGMS students explore electives such as coding, robotics, creative writing, entrepreneurship, performing arts, and other specialized subjects through our enrichment workshops and electives. These programs provide opportunities to develop new skills, discover interests, and gain hands-on experience.
